• You start searching online and learn about wordpress
• You look at sample blogs and various theme
• You start fantasising about your future blog
• You sign up for wordpress
• Initially you love it but then you want to do more
• You realise you need a custom domain and pay for it
• You start thinking about hosting yourself
• You talk to few people and they recommend you to try Drupal or something else
• You can see where I am going with this
• Focus on Simplicity
• My recommendation is to use github pages or gitlab with custom domain or buy a domain with hosting and create a blog yourself with HTML files
• Learn basic HTML, how to create links and you are done
• Focus on creating content, simple
